Over time we  In Weightlifting there are two things that remain constant and universally agreed upon: 1) we Snatch and 2) we Clean and Jerk. Beyond those, not many weightlifters or coaches could agree on how to train and perform the traditional lifts.

Outside of those traditional lifts, we have two highly controversially understood accessory lifts and they are the Power Jerk and the Split Jerk.

Here is a relatively short podcast episode about the two. Our very own JP Nicoletta is accompanied by Sean Waxman of Waxman’s Gym and they discuss their experience as athletes, coaches, and their opinions of when to use either of the two jerk techniques.

We timestamped (00:00) the main discussion topics in case you guys want to reference a specific topic later.
